The second most important thing about our Easter Service
The most important thing about our upcoming Easter service is not how big or exciting the service is; it’s the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ!
But what’s the second most important thing?
I believe the second most important thing about Easter is following up with the people that attend our service.
See, there are two core reasons why a person attends a church service:
- To learn more about God
- To find community
I’ve seen it firsthand; People that make meaningful connections in the body of Christ grow in their walk with Christ. Whether it’s a personal relationship, being discipled, attending a bible study, or serving on a ministry team, community is where growth happens.
And that’s what our follow up team is about – Helping people make meaningful connections with the community of the church.
With Easter approaching fast, we’re hoping to expand our follow up team so that we can reach out and connect with every person who visits our church.
What are we looking for? A few people who…
- Have a love for people
- Have a cheerful personality
- Are comfortable contacting people you’ve never met
- Are dependable, a self-starter
- Have access to a computer, and some computer ability (you’ll be using our online church management tool, Elvanto)
Contacting people might seem a little scary, but I’ll let you in on a little blessing; Without fail, people are blessed to receive a phone call from a church they’ve attended. It says “we care about you.”
