Daniel & Michelle Sims

Children in the Son, Inc. is an international non-profit founded by Michelle Kelly Sims, a Master Social Worker. Michelle visited Romania for the first time in 1995 for ten days with a group from her church to distribute shoebox Christmas gifts. Two years later, she made a return trip to find Christian organizations in dire need of social workers. In May 1998, she moved to Romania to work full-time in Oradea, Romania. One year later, she founded the Romanian non-profit, "Viata Noua Pentru Copii," (New Life for Children), a ministry that addresses the needs of children in distress. New Life for Children cares for children that are abandoned and those in need of medical care.

In 2001, Michelle founded Children In The Son, Inc., a United States non-profit based in Charleston, SC which directs and provides accountability for all work done in Romania. Michelle and her husband, Daniel, reside in Romania and lead the projects God has directed.
