Isaiah 66:10-12 Peace on Earth
Boy, are things getting weird in the world. Recently we discovered that the US government approved the sale of Uranium mines in the US to a company controlled by Russian leader Vladimir Putin… who provides Uranium to the Islamic regime in Iran… who we’re attempting to prevent from getting Uranium. Not to mention that hardly a month goes by that Iran doesn’t threaten to annihilate Israel. This same Iran provides financial and material support to Hamas, Syria, Hezbollah – all groups that are in a proxy war with Israel.
The entire Middle East region is a hot mess.
What would you say if I told you that one day there will be peace? And it won’t come from a US led peace conference, or through United Nations resolutions. Peace will come when the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ returns. He will bring peace to not only the Middle East, but to the entire world. I know it because the bible tells us so:
“Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you who love her; Rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn for her; That you may feed and be satisfied with the consolation of her bosom, that you may drink deeply and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.” For thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream.” (Isaiah 66:10-12)
We’re coming to the end of our Isaiah series, and we’ve read through some pretty tough passages, but the Lord promises us a happy ending.
Things may be blowing up now, but in the end everything will come together. The entire world may be against Israel today, but in the end Israel will be the seat of power of the Lord Jesus Christ’s rule here on earth. Jerusalem will be the capitol of the Millennial Kingdom, and there will be peace throughout the world.
Finally, a happy ending! Finally, peace on earth!
We can change the world, one life at a time…
