Deuteronomy

History is strewn with the carcasses of people and nations that ignored the lessons of history, who repeated the same mistakes, and suffered the same consequences. Humans have this innate propensity to forget WHO we are, WHERE we came from, and HOW we are supposed to act. Hence the importance of having some form or remembrance: to remind us of our past, our mistakes, our victories, and our purpose! Deuteronomy is just that, the "book or remembrance" for the Israelites.
