Update
Well, again I come to you to report
that we are still in a "hold" mode with respect to
moving forward with Holy Grounds. The building
owner has been working to complete all of the repair
work on the building, but they simply have not yet
completed the work.
To be honest, it is
frustrating! At this time, Holy Grounds should be
open and operating! We should be using the space
and also be open for business, serving coffee and a
prayer to the community around us.
Yet I keep
coming back to one truth, and that is "God is in
control." No matter what roadblocks we encounter,
God knows the situation, and He is in control of the
results. With that thought in my mind, I can rest
in His timing, His plan, and His
provision.
Speaking of provision, I must share
with you that our "construction" fund is running
dry. As you know, I will never beg for money or
declare that "God's work will not go on unless you
give", because I know that when God guides, He
provides. Because I believe that God opened this
door for us, and directed us to walk through it, that He
will provide all that we need to complete the work. But
we do have a part - PRAYER!
Pray for
provision. Pray that God would direct people and
resources to us for His purpose. As you pray, God may
well put on your part to give. If so, do so
generously, for God loves a cheerful giver!
Also
remember that the last Sunday of each month is "Holy
Grounds Offering" Sunday. This is a day that we
have set aside for the fellowship, you and me, to give
to the work. This is over and above our
tithe. Remember, we noted that if everyone gives a
little, it add up to a lot!
I would like to
encourage you to keep sight of what God has called us
to! Please continue to pray, and to invest in this
opportunity that God has placed before us!

Holy Grounds Offering
The next "Holy Grounds Offering" is
Sunday January
29th
Each month we have set
aside the last
Sunday of the month as the day that we will take
up a special
offering for the Holy Grounds construction
costs. As it is our goal to complete the work
without incurring any debt, we are encouraging the body
to invest in this work of the kingdom! "each one give as he purposes
in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God
loves a cheerful giver" (2 Cor
9:7) And please note that in addition to giving,
there are many ways that each one of you can
share in the vision, such as:
- Praying for the
work: Pray for provision, for guidance, for God
to lead us to people and resources that could help us.
- Get the word
out: Talk to people that you might know
that could be a blessing. Maybe they would be
led to give a gift, or maybe they can provide
materials or equipment.
